Position Summary

Responsible for the day to day operations of the Promotions Department. Coordinates regularly with other department managers and senior executives to promote their respective areas.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinates all aspects of the promotional process (i.e. conception, plan, budget, implementation, and review of post promotion analysis).
  • Assists in the preparation of statistical analysis for all promotions and special events
  • Participates in the preparation and planning of the department budget, monitoring monthly P&Ls, and contributing to the overall annual fiscal objectives.
  • Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously setting own priorities to ensure timely completion.
  • Inventories all departmental promotional items and equipment.
  • Assists with the installation and removal of casino decorations, drawing drums, or promotional items.
  • Participates in making an exciting atmosphere by utilizing the in-house PA system & hosting special event functions, etc.
  • Coordinates with Purchasing Department to obtain Promotional Prizes, which may include, but not be limited to, electronics, automobiles, and recreational vehicles.
  • Accesses the player tracking system and makes edits to the system as necessary.
  • Queries the player tracking database for specific Marketing/gaming information including guest demographics, comments, and needs.
  • Disseminate information about all promotions, including events, to appropriate departments.
  • Provides exemplary service for all internal and external customers.
  • Resolves guest inquiries and requests, including correspondence by phone, letter & email.
  • Maintains a professional image while representing Chinook Winds Casino Resort.
  • Occasionally required to wear costumes or dress in character.
  • Assists at property special events as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or GED

Bachelors degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or Tourism preferred



Two years experience in Promotions, Marketing or Special Events in a Gaming/Hospitality environment


Computer Skills

Microsoft Office intermediate level or higher to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access

Oasis Player Rating System or other player tracking system experience preferred


Certificates & Licenses

Valid Driver’s License

Must obtain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License


Other Requirements

Working knowledge with outside vendors, scheduling, set-up and tear-down of events

Experience making announcements using a public address system preferred
