Position Summary

Responsible for ensuring the quality, quantity and presentation of the buffet lines meets Chinook Winds Casino Resort standards.

Essential Functions

  • Stocks, cleans, and organizes hot and cold buffet items in a neat, timely manner.
  • Records temperatures and keeps logs of hot and cold items to ensure that food safety and quality.
  • Ensures that food quality and presentations meets Chinook Winds Casino Resort standards.
  • Cleans work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware.
  • Stores food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage.
  • Places food trays over food warmers for immediate service, or store them in refrigerated storage cabinets.
  • Informs supervisor when supplies are getting low or equipment is not working properly.
  • Carries food supplies, equipment, and utensils to and from storage and work areas.
  • Stirs and strains soups and sauces.
  • Maintains all health code regulations
  • Assists other culinary personnel on an as needed basis
  • Reports to supervisor on duty regarding all personnel issues in a timely manner according to Chinook Winds Policies and Procedures
  • Performs all duties in accordance with Chinook Winds Casino Resort customer service standards
  • Washes dishes, pots, cookware, utensils and other equipment when necessary
  • Maintains overall cleanliness and appearance of designated area of responsibility.
  • Performs all opening, closing, cleaning, and stocking responsibilities.
  • Assists other floor personnel on an as needed basis.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with Chinook Winds Casino Resort customer service standards
  • Maintains general knowledge and provides information to guests of Chinook Winds Casino Resort events, programs and services.
  • Provides input or recommendations for improvements and changes in processes or services.
  • All other duties as assigned.

One year experience in a restaurant or buffet preferred


Certificates & Licenses

Must obtain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License

Must obtain a Food Handlers Permit within 30 days of employment


Other Requirements

Knowledge of regulations governing food preparation and service
