In celebration of Oregon Indian Week, Chinook Winds Casino Resort is proud to announce the Inaugural Pacific Northwest Native Market. The Native Market will be held at Chinook Winds Casino Resort in Lincoln City, Oregon and will host Native American artisans from around the country. The event will take place Saturday and Sunday of Memorial weekend, May 24th from 9am to 5pm and 25th from 9am to 4pm, in the main casino convention center. The show is free to the public and open to all ages. Robert Mirabal, a phenomenal Native American dancer and entertainer will be performing in the showroom over the weekend as well. There will be drawings throughout the show of donated items from the vendors as well as a native American storyteller on Sunday afternoon.

Robert Mirabal has won many honors including two-time “Native American Artist of the Year,” three-time “Songwriter of the Year”, 2007 “Best Male Artist of the Year” a 2006 Grammy Award for Sacred Ground, and again in 2008 for Johnny Whitehorse Totemic Flute Chants, Best Native American Album of the Year.  His 2001 breakthrough PBS musical production, Music From a Painted Cave, remains a benchmark of Native American musical expression.
The event is free to the public and will offer a terrific opportunity for the public to view some first hand Native American craftwork, from hand made baskets and drums to flutes to jewelry and beadwork. Take some time out to view this terrific event at Chinook Winds Casino Resort, in Lincoln City, on May 24th and 25 in the main convention center.

Over 50 years ago, Larry, Steve, and Rudy Gatlin started singing in their little hometown of Abilene, Texas, and from there went on to make music history. Over the course of a four-decade career that has taken the Gatlin Brothers from dusty Texas stages to White House performances, from Broadway to Grammy Awards to the top of the country charts, there has been one unifying element, music.  Their hits include ""Broken Lady", "All the Gold In California", "Houston (Means I'm One Day Closer to You)", "She Used to Be Somebody's Baby", and "Talkin' to the Moon."
