Smokin' at the Ocean Returns!

Chinook Winds’ annual “Smokin’ at the Ocean” BBQ and Brewfest is set for July 11-13, and promises to be a weekend full of food, music and fun!
 
It all starts with $10,000 Oregon Open State Championship BBQ competition sanctioned by the Pacific Northwest BBQ Association. The state’s best cookers bring the meat to the heat to determine who is the most skilled at the grill! The competition categories include chicken, pork ribs, pork shoulder and brisket. Visit www.pnwba.com if you want to compete.
 
The gastronomic gladiators of the International Federation of Competitive Eating will be back for another meaty mêlée as competitive eaters chomp down ribs for fun and profit. Amateur eaters and media munchers will also be invited back to see if they can gnaw with the big dogs!
 
World Champion Competitive Eater, Joey Chestnut, currently ranked #1 in the World by the International Federation of Competitive Eating, is scheduled to compete!
