Comedy on the Coast in October will be bittersweet. On September 5, 2016, the world lost an amazing talent, and Chinook Winds lost an amazing friend. On October 28 & 29, we will celebrate the life of Comedy on the Coast co-founder, Mr. Kenny Bob Davis. Over the past 35 years, Kenny Bob headlined all over the U.S. as a solo stand-up comedian, and was a regularly invited USO performer for our military men and women aboard several aircraft carriers at sea and for our U.S. Marines in the field. (He was a veteran USMC Corpsman). You’ve seen him on Television many times in commercials and in film and TV productions such as Gremlins, ER, Zach & Cody, Sisters, Murder She Wrote, Bing Microsoft as Santa….and many more… KBD released his fourth live album, “A Vegas Souvenir” in 2008. Kenny’s longtime friend Tim Haldeman, as well as good friend and funnyman David Gee, will be joined by Ron Kenney and Art Krug to ensure a funny and memorable show that truly honors Kenny’s memory.

Tim Haldeman’s entry into stand-up comedy was sudden, unexpected but very successful… 12 years ago, this veteran and seasoned actor was unexpectedly called on stage by Headliner Kenny Bob Davis at a charity golf tournament to open the Gala Show due to an emergency no show by the opening comedian. Tim’s job was to warm up the crowd. He did way more than that. He did a terrific five minute improv set and was a big hit. Little did he know that this would launch his second career. Over the past decade, Tim has performed a solid stand-up act all over the country in several different venues. As an actor, you have seen Tim play Elliot Blair in Dante’s Peak as well as guest starring in several Hit TV shows such as ER, Cold Case, and a recurring role on the Drew Carey Show, and in well over 150 commercials.

David Gee has made folks laugh opening for Bonnie Raitt, The Beach Boys and Ray Charles concerts. He’s knocked them dead at some of the most famous comedy clubs around, The Improv, The Friar’s Club and The Ice House to name just three. Gee has been seen at grand Las Vegas hotels including Caesar’s Palace and The Mirage and was voted “Best Comedian in a Production Show” in Las Vegas for four years in a row. Add to this his appearance at comedy events with Sid Caesar, Ray Romano, Bob Hope and it’s easy to see why Gee has kept the folks in stitches everywhere he goes.

Ron Kenney has been performing professionally for over thirty years in almost every venue imaginable. Today most of Kenney’s work takes place in the Silver State of Nevada, where he is known as “Mr. Las Vegas”. He has also performed on A&E’s “Evening at the Improv”, VH-1’s “Comedy on the Road” and numerous appearances on MTV and Comedy Central. He has opened for some great performers including Lou Rawls, Neil Sedaka, and Andrew Dice Clay. Ron is also an author, writing the very funny “COMICS OPEN”, about comedians in a golf event.

Art Krug has traveled across the U.S. and Canada for 22 years, performing at such prestigious venues as The Improv in L.A., and The Riviera in Las Vegas. He has opened for Dana Carvey, Drew Carey, and America. Art’s unique style has been seen Nationally on Showtime’s Comedy Club Network and in many television commercials. Entertainment Scene magazine calls him “one of the funniest ever to come out of the northwest”.
