Responsible for inspecting guest rooms per quality control standards for cleanliness to ensure guest readiness.

Essential Functions

  • Inspect all vacant ready guest rooms to ensure guest readiness.
  • Provide assistance to Room Attendants in ensuring rooms are cleaned properly with in time allotted.
  • Cleans guestrooms as directed by supervisor and room inspection standards during times of high occupancy and staff shortage.
  • Update Room Attendants on room status changes including checkouts and stay overs as well as any additional changes that may take place.
  • Provides courteous housekeeping services for guests.
  • Washes and sanitizes bathroom floors, tubs, sinks, showers, and commodes.
  • Makes beds in neat wrinkle-free condition including roll-aways, cribs, and sleepers.
  • Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and other work areas.
  • Confirms all appliances are operational and set property such as clocks, raidos, televisions, and lighting.
  • Carries linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies using wheeled carts.
  • Empties wastebaskets, empties and cleans ashtrays, and transports other trash and waste to disposal areas.
  • Replenishes supplies such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items.
  • Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
  • Dusts and polishes furniture and equipment.
  • Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and/or polishes floors, using brooms, mops, and/or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
  • Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers.
  • Washes windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary.
  • Hang draperies and dust window blinds.
  • Disinfects equipment and supplies using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers.
  • Observes precautions required to protect hotel and guest property and report any damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors.
  • Removes debris from driveways, parking lots, and swimming pool areas.
  • Polishes silver accessories and metalwork such as fixtures and fittings.
  • Replaces light bulbs.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with Chinook Winds Casino Resort customer service standards
  • Maintains general knowledge and provides information to guests of Chinook Winds Casino Resort events, programs and services.
  • Provides input or recommendations for improvements and changes in processes or services.
  • All other duties as assigned.

One year housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
